Services: One-on-One

In a class of 25 or more students, it’s easy to get lost. That’s why we believe in personal, one-on-one tutoring to get the student back on track. At Tri-Ed, our tutors work one-on-one with your student to not only correct weaknesses but also foster their strengths. In this way, they are able to begin learning again in classroom environments, instead of just trying to keep up.

So, how do you know if you need one-on-one tutoring services?

Here is a list of common concerns we hear when parents call us:

  • I am so tired of the nightly homework battle. It is a struggle every night and ruins most evenings.
  • My child is failing in a particular class. He’s been staying after school but I’m worried and upset that I can’t help him.
  • It is frustrating to see my child so disorganized. She does her homework but then misplaces it and receives incompletes. She has no concept of studying ahead or even writing down important dates in her agenda.
  • My child is a good student but does poorly on tests. She routinely recalls information during study sessions and gets A’s and B’s on her homework/classwork, but receives low test grades.
  • My child has an IEP and I don’t think that many people know how to handle his learning differences. He is falling behind and is very self-conscious.
  • My child is so unmotivated. She is very smart but I feel like she is just being lazy and doesn’t care about school.
  • My child is extremely bright and I feel like he needs to be challenged outside of his school curriculum.
  • My child needs to improve his SAT/ACT score. I’m worried that he won’t get into college.
