Services: Standardized Test Prep

Taking a standardized test is a stressful time for any student. Standardized tests are the determining factor of getting in to the college or graduate program of your choice. Although taking a standardized test such as the SAT or GRE will probably never be a completely stress free experience, you can walk into the test with more confidence after working with a Tri-Ed tutor. A personal tutor can help you review the material that will be on the exam as well as learn techniques for answering the various questions.

One-on-one tutoring is the best option for targeting individual strengths and weaknesses. A private tutor focuses on both content as well as strategies for the test, reviews the student's progress, and tailors instruction accordingly. As a guideline, Tri-Ed suggests at least 8 hours of instruction to cover one subject area or a minimum of at least 16 hours of instruction to cover the entire test. This is only a guideline and can be adjusted based on your student’s needs. The text used is included with the cost of the tutoring. For college entrance exams, we have one-to one tutors available for the SAT, ACT, and SAT II: Subject Tests. The graduate level tests that we currently offer include GRE, PRAXIS, and GMAT. Please contact us for more information.
